Rob Zombie’s Lords of Salem get’s a composer, and this won’t be your typical score!

Whats this? Lords of Salem news which doesn’t involve a new cast member being named! Now here’s a surprise for you, todays news regarding Rob Zombie’s upcoming horror is all about the music for the film, and who will compose it.

Please welcome John 5 to the Lords of Salem team, and according to Rob Zombie’s Facebook page, he says this about his choice of composer:

“John totally understands the vibe of the film, and is the perfect choice to create the music.” The music being “A soundtrack that shreds,”

For those who don’t know, John 5 has been collaborating with Zombie for years, since 2005 in-fact when he worked on Zombie’s album, Educated Horses. The guitarist has also toured with Zombie, and also played a part in his more recent album, Hellbilly Deluxe 2. John 5 was also a former ‘axe-man’ for Marilyn Manson. The choice of composer for what promises to be a brutal horror could not be better, and as with all of Zombie’s films, I am sure the music here will delight his fans and add some real raw power to the story.

In case you have missed it, the latest cast members to join the film have included Billy Drago, Richard Lynch, Bruce Dern and Dee Wallace. These will all be joining Sheri Moon Zombie, Meg Foster, Torsten Voges, Jeff Phillips, Margaret Morgan and Ernest Thomas. The Lords of Salem is due to begin filming next week!

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
