Steven Soderbergh can barely put a foot wrong when it comes to directing. His virus thriller Contagion is still doing good business in UK cinemas, and we do not have long to wait before his next masterpiece arrives. Haywire, Soderbergh’s double crossing hitman (well, woman actually!) thriller is due to arrive in UK cinemas 20th January 2012, and a second action packed trailer has just hit the Net and it is beauty! Chet out poor old Michael Fassbender truly get his arse kicked by a woman, great stuff!!
Soderbergh directs Fassbender along with a huge collection of talent including Ewan McGregor, Gina Carano, Channing Tatum, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas,Michael Angarano and Bill Paxton (hurrah!!). Lem Dobbs wrote the script.
Synopsis:
Beautiful freelance covert operative Mallory Kane is hired out by her handler to various global entities to perform jobs which governments can’t authorize and heads of state would rather not know about. After a mission to rescue a hostage in Barcelona, Mallory is quickly dispatched on another mission to Dublin. When the operation goes awry and Mallory finds she has been double crossed, she needs to use all of her skills, tricks and abilities to escape an international manhunt, make it back to the United States, protect her family, and exact revenge on those that have betrayed her.
