Bill Nighy starred as a Vampire in all three of Lakeshore Entertainment’s Underworld movies, and the company has asked that he return in their new horror tale I, Frankenstein. According to Variety, Nighy has been approached to star as the main bad guy in the film, with X-Men; Origins Socratis Otto set to play one of the evil henchmen.
Lionsgate will be distributing the film in the US and more than likely around the world as well. Aaron Eckhart has already been cast as main character Adam, and Stuart Beattie is directing from his own script based on the graphic novel written by Kevin Grevioux.
Scheduled for release in February 2013, the film is set to go into production this January in Australia. In the film Eckhart plays Adam, Frankenstein’s creation and he is being hunted by Demons who want to learn the secret of his creation so they can build an army of the undead, recreated in the same way. Nighy will hopefully be playing a Demon Prince.
More as it happens.
