Gareth Edwards’ ‘Godzilla’ remake has a writer

Things are finally beginning to move forward on Legendary Pictures planned Godzilla remake. Monsters director Gareth Edwards was announced as director sometime ago, and it is said that Warners will be distributing the film thanks to a deal with Legendary. Edwards expressed his love of Godzilla months ago, and would appear to be the perfect choice to direct.

The news today is that the film has finally found it’s writer, step forward Max Borenstein.

Borenstein is currently working with Legendary on their Jimi Hendrix biopic called ‘Jimi’, however he has also written the screenplay for a new upcoming supernatural horror called ‘The Seventh Son’. The Seventh Son stars Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore and Ben Barnes and tell the story of how the seventh son of a seventh son has the power to exorcise demons and ghosts. Borenstein also wrote, directed and starred in ‘Swordswallowers and Thin Men’.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
