Johnny Depp, Amber Heard and director Bruce Robinson talk about The Rum Diary at the European Premiere of the film in London.
The Rum Diary is adapted from the novel of the same name by the late Doctor Hunter S. Thompson who wrote Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas which also starred Johnny Depp as Hunter’s persona Raoul Duke in the film adaptation.

The Rum Diary focuses on Paul Kemp, a novelist who travels to San Juan, Puerto Rico to work for the failing local newspaper. Here he gets caught up in politics and various incidents with his colleagues from the newspaper, all the while aided by rum.

The Rum Diary is in cinemas now.

I love practical effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Yakuza Zero and Webbed.
