New James Bond film ‘Skyfall’ see’s the return of Q in a new, young form!

Bond 23, or should we say Skyfall, continues to announce cast members and the most recent news not only see’s a brand new name added to the cast, but also see’s the return of a character missing from Daniel Craig’s Bond re-invention. Gadget master, weapons maker and witty Q finally gets added to the new Bond as the iconic character is set to make a return in Skyfall.

Brace yourself though Bond fans as the usual old character is being replaced with a much younger model. Step forward 31 year old Ben Whishaw who will take on the important role of teaching Bond how to use his new gadgets. Not sure who Whishaw is? Well, if you have seen the fantastic Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, he was the lead in that! He has also appeared in Layer Cake, Enduring Love, I’m Not There and The International, as well as TV shows such as Criminal Justice, The Hour and Nathan Barley, a great casting choice I say!

Whishaw joins Daniel Craig as Bond alongside Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Berenice Marlohe, Helen McCrory, Albert Finney and Naomie Harris. Directed by Sam Mendes, Bond will sneak into UK cinemas 26th October 2012.

Synopsis:

Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
