Peter Jackson discusses 3D and The Hobbit in new Hobbit video blog

Peter Jackson has released the latest video blog on the development of his epic two part film, The Hobbit, based on J.R.R Tolkien’s book. There is no doubt that these two films will become some of the biggest and most successful films of all time, and Jackson is absolutely dedicated to getting his films perfect, including the 3D.

In his latest blog, Jackson and his team go into detail about how they will be filming in 3D and what we can expect to see and experience from it. With 3D taking a real battering of late, it needs something truly special, something great, something utterly dazzling to rebuild its reputation, and if any director can really, honestly do that, Jackson is your man. I have mentioned other directors being able to do the format justice, however, it is Jackson who has the truly universal appeal to really get the format back on top.

I am not 3D’s biggest fan, however watching this blog I have no doubt The Hobbit will look incredible and it is a film I will 100% be watching in 3D, why wouldn’t you?

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is due for release here in the UK on 14th December 2012.

The Hobbit: There and Back Again is due for release in December 2013.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
