Borat, Ali G and Bruno creator Sacha Baron Cohen is in discussions to appear in Tarantino’s Django Unchained, and the word is those talks are moving forward and it is looking more and more likely Cohen will get the part. With his film The Dictator due for release 18th May 2012, Cohen will already be back in the public eye, so would be a good casting choice. It would be nice to see the actor do something serious as well.
If he gets the part, he will be playing character named Scotty, a gambler who buys Django’s wife. Cohen would be joining an already impressive cast of Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Kurt Russell, Tom Savini and Michael Kenneth Williams.
Tarantino’s latest film is scheduled or release here in the UK on Boxing Day 2012.
Synopsis:
