Susanna Lo’s new film Manson Girls has been developing now for well over a year, and new yesterday states the film is finally going into production. Centering around famous killer Charles Manson, the film will focus on the girls who followed him, and how they came to be under his spell.
Gret news is that Bill Moseley will be playing the role of Manson, and the rest of the cast are headed up by the stunning Taryn Manning (pictured above) with Tania Raymonde, Eric Balfour, Monica Keena, Ron Jeremy, Laura Harring, Estella Warren, Gillian Zinser, Priscilla Barnes, Stella Maeve, Patti D’Arbanville and Vanessa Zima.
The story focuses on the events leading up to the famous Manson murders, and Lo not only directs but also produces and wrote the script. Here is what she had to say:
“The girls were all very talented but it was a very seductive time,” she said. “We really don’t want to sensationalize the story any further than it already has been. I’ve always been fascinated by how the girls came under the spell of this strange, manipulative man.“
More as it develops.
