Now this is the sort of news which makes us very happy to be alive, and even more happy to be involved with our beloved genre of horror. Ridley Scott’s Prometheus is due for release 1st June 2012, and will no doubt be one of the biggest, if not THE biggest sci-fi horror of the year. Yesterday the first, official teaser poster was published, and keeping with everything we have seen before, it is dark, intense, moody and feckin creepy! Proof, then, that Scott has not lost his touch on the genre that made him a household name.
Prometheus, written by Damon Lindelof and Jon Spaihts, stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce, Patrick Wilson, Idris Elba, Rafe Spall, Rutina Wesley and Logan Marshall-Green.
Ridley Scott, director of ‘Alien’ and ‘Blade Runner,’ returns to the genre he helped define. With ‘Prometheus’ he creates a groundbreaking mythology in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
