LATEST TV NEWS: YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! Buffy re-boot is dead!………Happy days!

One of the most stupid ideas I have ever read was this time last year when it was announced that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was all set to get the re-boot factor.  This news and quite rightly casued waves of anger among fans all over the world and quite rightly because the TV show was/is one of the greatest series of all time, still finding fans everywhere and still missed by all those who loved the weekly trip to Sunnydale.

Well since that news broke things have been quiet but news have reached us again about this idea and thankfully its a good story.  It seems the idea is now all but dead

When Warner Bros. announced that it was going to move forward with the remake there was gasps especially when they said it would not involve  original Buffy writer Joss Whedon.  Instead of the man who created it all, thery were going to with -and hired-Yes Man screenwriter Whit Anderson to pen the script.

The reboot has now reportedly stalled because Anderson has chosen to exit the project, sources told the Los Angeles Times.

A source explained that “[Anderson] came in with some great ideas and she had reinvented some of the lore and it was pretty cool but in the end there just wasn’t enough on the page.”

But while we all should be happy with this, a word of caution……Warner Bros. and the producers are apparently searching for a new screenwriter, so while its dead at the moment, expect more news soon………
