Nicholas McCarthy’s ‘The Pact’ reveals first ever creepy still

Nicholas McCarthy’s highly anticipated horror film, The Pact, arrived as a short film at last year’s Sundance film festival. It is now set to appear at Sundance 2012 in January as a feature length movie, and already critics are getting very very excited. The film is said to have strong influences from films like Ringu, Suspiria and Psycho, and with those sorts of films being the basis for a new horror, what could possibly go wrong?

Bloody Disgusting got their hands on the first ever image from the film, at you can see it below. The image is of star Caity Lotz as Annie looking absolutely terrified.

The film also stars Casper Van Dien, Agnes Bruckner, Haley Hudson and Mark Steger. McCarthy also wrote the film which tells the story of Annie “as she struggles to come to grips with her past in the wake of her mother’s death, an unsettling presence emerges in her childhood home.

More as it happens.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
