The official ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ poster has arrived!

Finally the official poster for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is here, and it is a beauty! Enjoy the poster dear readers; because early word is that the actual film is a bit naff. The film was screened at BNAT in Austin, Texas over the weekend, and here are a few snippets of what people made of the sequel from the creators of Crank.

  • GHOST RIDER 2 manages to make me look fondly back on GHOST RIDER. Unbearable.” – Devin Faraci, Badass Digest.
  • “GHOST RIDER 2 makes GHOST RIDER 1 look like DARK KNIGHT.” – Jordan Hoffman, About.com
  • “SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE is better than the first film, and the character design is drastically improved. Unfortunately the script is a boring mess, the film lacks a proper budget and the post converted 3D looks pretty horrible compared to films like HUGO.” – Peter Sciretta, /Film

Oh dear indeed, but I thought the trailer looked awesome, I really did!

Due for release in UK cinemas 17th February 2012, the film stars Nic Cage as Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider alongside Ciaran Hinds, Idris Elba, Christopher Lambert, Violante Placido and Johnny Whitworth.

Synopsis:

It has been several years since making a deal with the Devil and Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage), living in self-imposed isolation, finds himself as the only person who can help save 10-year-old Danny – and ultimately the world – thanks to his unwanted and uncontrollable power – his ability to transform into the hell-on-wheels monster known as The Ghost Rider.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
