‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ ponders over his axe in new image





Produced and directed by Timur Bekmambetov, the visionary director responsible for Nightwatch, Daywatch and Wanted, and produced by Tim Burton (who needs no introduction) comes the quite brilliant sounding Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Lincoln was a Vampire hunter you know, and a good one!

20th Century Fox recently shared a new image as part of Entertainment Weekly’s 2012 preview, and you can see the image at the bottom of this post. The new image shows Benjamin Walker as Lincoln, holding an axe clearly about to go out and kill some vampires!

The film stars Benjamin Walker, Rufus Sewell, Dominic Cooper, Alan Tudyk, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Robin McLeavy. You can see the film in UK cinemas from 2nd August.

Synopsis:

The secret life of our greatest president, Abraham Lincoln, is about to be revealed for the first time. As a young boy, Honest Abe witnesses the shocking death of his mother, which led him on a path to an ongoing war – and ultimately to the presidency – all of which are he chronicled in a hidden diary. The journal reveals the incredible tale of a secret warrior who never stopped fighting for the country that he led and the people that he loved.
