Expect lots of murder in the trailer for new comedy ‘God Bless America’

Director Bobcat Goldthwait’s new comedy, God Bless America, is causing a bit of a frenzy over in the US. Picked up for distribution last September after playing at the Toronto Film Festival, the dangerous comedy makes its debut in the US on VOD on 6th April, and will have a theatrical run from 11th May. There are no details yet for the UK, but just to wet your appetite you can check out the rather cool trailer below.

The film stars Joel Murray and Tara Lynne Barr as an adult and 16 year old girl who go on the rampage, murdering anyone with any bad habits that irritate us in our daily lives. Now, I am not condoning their actions, but watch the trailer and you will find a number of things which I am sure drive you crazy in your day to day life. People who can’t park, annoying kids in cinemas, it’s all here.

Also written by Goldthwait, the film concerns “Loveless, jobless, possibly terminally ill, Frank (Joel Murray) has had enough of the downward spiral of America. With nothing left to lose, Frank takes his gun and offs the stupidest, cruelest, and most repellent members of society. He finds an unusual accomplice: 16-year old Roxy (Tara Lynne Barr), who shares his sense of rage and disenfranchisement.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
