Kino Gallery recently revealed five new posters for the upcoming 3D version of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, and we have them right here for you. I have expressed my thoughts on seeing this film in 3D, I have no interest and don’t want to go into it again. To read more you can click here. However, as I have said all along, when 4, 5, and 6 arrive in cinemas I don’t care about the 3D either, but what I do care about is seeing them on the big screen. I never got the chance before, so for me, 3D or not, I am counting down the years for the original trilogy to arrive. The word is that George Lucas intends to release one film a year, polished and presented in 3D, and no doubt there will be some extra little scenes thrown in for good measure!
Anyway, the five new posters are below, and to be honest I quite like them. Darth Maul features prominent on most of them, and actually looks a little creepy. It also appears that those promoting the film have decided NOT to include the irritating Jar Jar Binks in any of the new posters, a wise decision. An even wiser one would be for Lucas to edit him out of the film completely. How’s about it Lucas old fella, can you do that? Instead of adding bits here and there, why not remove bits?
Anyway, Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace arrives in UK cinemas 9th February.
