Some casting news for you guys on the new Evil Dead Re-make!

Its been reported that Lily Collins is in early discussions for the lead role of the horror film classic which means that that solves the problem of “who could replace Ash!” in the franchise!  She is in line to play a character called Mia who will be the main character that will fight off the evil Deadites and hopefully chainsaw her own hand off and then fix the chainsaw itself onto the gaping wound.

Mia is one of five young people who head to the remote cabin where evil awaits. Recovering from a recent overdose, Mia is particularly vulnerable. Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Rob Tapert are producing the new movie with Ghost House Pictures and Mandate Pictures with Fede Alvarez on directing duties and have also co-wrote the script with Rodo Sayagues. Diablo Cody (Juno, Young Adult) is revising the latest draft.

Already with news of this casting (if it happens) you can sense the different direction that this project is heading but I doubt it will appease those who are dead against the idea.  Like they say and I do “Why re-make when what we all want is to see Ash in the future like glimpsed in the end of Army Of Darkness)

The movie is targeted to open April 12, 2013.

Since my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
