Well this is a turn up for the books.

Before Christmas I reported that DEXTER had been given another two seasons which meant that the show would run to an incredible eighth season and there was also a massive hint given that the the show would end then and that plans were underway to lead up to the finish point of our favourite serial killer!

Well it seems that there is a change of plan again because Showtime’s entertainment president David Nevin’s has said that Dexter could continue beyond season eight.

“This is the likely endpoint, but I’m leaving open the possibility that plans could change,” Nevins said while at the TCA press tour.

“I think there’s a very clear trajectory now of where they’re going. I think it’s going to help to write with that endgame in mind,” he continued. “I’ve been pushing to shake up the formula a little bit. I think there should be fundamentally different dynamics now.”

Dexter has failed to live up to the standards set by the Season 4 Trinity storyline which now is regarded as one of the greatest seasons in TV History and with Season 6 yet to show in Britain, there are rumours that the season is slow and again fails to entice after a muddled Season 5.

You can find out what we think when the show returns on FX!

Since my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do!
