One of my and everyone in the HCF Office favourite films is the 90’s classic Goodfellas and there is news tonight that there is going to be a return to that world.

Now before you sigh and think remake, it is but not in the film world but for the small screen because its been confirmed that AMC are developing a series version of Martin Scorsese’s film

AMC, who are home to such class TV with the likes of “Mad Men,” “Breaking Bad” and “The walking Dead,” have also managed to get Nicholas Pileggi, the man who wrote the movie based on his own non-fiction book “Wiseguy,” on board to co-write the TV adaptation.

Scorsese’s “Goodfellas” stars Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta and Joe Pesci, and follows the rise and fall of the Lucchese crime family associate Henry Hill (Liotta) and his friends from 1955 to 1980.

The film was nominated for six Oscars, including Best Pictures and director, and won one, for best supporting actor (Pesci).

I will be keeping my eye on this exciting news because we may have a show that could better The Soprano’s …..

There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
