An image of Daniel Craig as Bond was released a few days ago. The picture from the latest Bond movie showed Craig sat on the edge of a pool, nothing really all that exciting unless you are female, so today’s news of the official plot details is a little meatier.
Sony released the details which, while a bit vague, does give a good indication that Skyfall will continue to push Bond into more serious and darker territories. Judi Dench returns as M, and it looks like she will finally get a chance to really shine here as it looks like her character will be taking centre stage alongside Bond. The story of MI6 coming under attack is exciting too, and from the sounds of it, there will be a real sense of chaos here as what should be Bond’s safest place suddenly becomes his most dangerous.
Skyfall, directed by Mike Mendes, arrives in UK cinemas 26th October. The 23rd Bond film also stars Javier Bardem, Helen McCrory, Ralph Fiennes, Maggie Smith, Ben Whishaw, Albert Finney, Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe.
Daniel Craig is back as James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
