The Grey director Joe Carnahan set to remake ‘Death Wish’

With his new film The Grey gaining some great reviews in both the US and the UK, director Joe Carnahan has all of a sudden become a hot property director. Now, I fully appreciate he deserves it for his latest film, but this is the guy who made Narc, one of the best cop thrillers I have EVER seen. Carnahan has a skill, and the fact he has been hired to remake Death Wish is very good news indeed, just look at what he did with The A-Team.

Death Wish, for all those who don’t know, featured Charles Bronson is one of his most iconic roles as a vigilante out to avenge the brutal attack of his wife and daughter. Carnahan, in my personal opinion, is perfect to recreate such a classic.

The new film is being backed by MGM and Paramount, and will be produced by Jules Daly (The Grey) along with Ridley and Tony Scot’s Scott Free Productions. No other info is available at this time.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
