The Sundance Film Festival is always full of some sort of controversy, and in a bizarre turn of events both last years and this year’s main protagonist both belong to Bloody Disgusting Selects! Last year’s saw a man cause trouble and have to be removed from the festival while watching Lucky McKee’s superb horror, The Woman (review) You can see the video of the man causing a scene here.
Sundance 2012 is also causing some audience issues, and the film in question is horror anthology V/H/S. The horror brings together a number of fresh faces on the horror scene, including Adam Wingard, Ti West, Joe Swanberg, Glenn McQuaid, Radio Silence and David Bruckner. Each director has produced their own found footage short for the project; however an audience member at Sundance found it too much and collapsed during the first gruesome scene.
Embarrassed, the fan did not want to leave, but his girlfriends encouraged him to do so. He later met with all the directors after the film had screened. He wasn’t the only victim, apparently another audience member suffered from nausea twenty minutes later. The horror currently has a 10 out of 10 rating on IMDB!
