Antonio Banderas to star in Hierro directors sci-fi epic ‘Automata’

Anonio Banderas continues to surprise fans with his choice if films. Going from bit Hollywood blockbusters like Puss in Boots and Black Gold, to the more delicate and dangerous smaller titles like last years superb The Skin I Live In. He is now back to his native Spanish language in a new sci-fi from the director of the rather impressive Spanish horror, Hierro.

Director Gabe Ibanez will direct Banderas, who will play a security agent who is out to investigate robot manipulation. It all sounds pretty intense and I would imagine this will be a very clever and visually stunning film. If you have seen Hierro you will know what the director is capable of, and so I can only imagine that Automata will be one very impressive sci-fi film indeed.

Synopsis:

Jacq Vaucan, an insurance agent of ROC robotics corporation, routinely investigates the case of manipulating a robot. What he discovers will have profound consequences for the future of humanity.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
