EFM: UK horror ‘Airborne’ picks up a distributor

With the Berlin European Film Market in full swing, there is set to be a ton of news over the next few days, and here is some distribution news which is very promising. Director Dominic Burn’s horror thriller Airborne has bagged itself a distribution deal with Chelsea Films. The company, who are a division of Curzon Artificial Eye, will handle distribution for the rather creepy looking horror here in the UK.

The film stars a group of genre favourites, including Mark Hamill, Craig Conway, Billy Murray, Julian Glover, Alan Ford, Sebastian Street and Gemma Atkinson.

As a snow storm closes in, one final plane takes off. The plane reports to the ground that both pilots are dead, while the slowly dwindling number of passengers on the plane wish that they’d never left the ground.

Black and Blue Films’ Jonathan Sothcott previously said of the film: “I was attracted by the idea of making what is basically a feature length version of the ‘Terror at 20,000 Feet’ segment of ‘Twilight Zone The Movie’.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
