Bloody Disgusting Selects horror anthology V/H/S has been acquired for UK distribution by Momentum. The film is due to play at the SXSW festival in the US in March, and also made a bit of an impression at Sundance when some of the more gruesome content caused an audience member to faint.
There is no news yet of when the UK will get to see this highly anticipated collection of short horror stories, but the news that Momentum will be handling its distribution is very promising indeed. In the US and Canada Magnolia Pictures’ genre label, Magnet Releasing, bought the rights for distribution at Sundance. It sounds like they are looking for an Autumn release, which should include a small theatrical run. The bad news is that we are still a long way off of seeing this much hyped horror anthology, but at least we now know that we are most definitely going to get it!
