Now, here is a film that is very very high on my must-see list, and has been for some time. Richard Raaphort’s highly inventive looking horror, Frankenstein’s Army, has been on the cards for a long time now, and any piece of news is exciting. We have already brought you couple of teaser trailers and a new piece of sales art, and you can view all that good stuff here.
Further news has come out of the Berlin European Film Market, and the first bit of news which has made me incredibly happy, is that the film is FINALLY shooting in Europe and is being produced by MPI/Dark Sky Films, L.A based XYZ Films, and Pellicola of Amsterdam. In even further great news, Momentum Films will be distributing the horror here in the UK!
Expect much more on this as it develops.

Synopsis
Using shocking vintage newsreel footage as his jumping-off point, Raaphorst has hit on a unique and bold premise. Toward the end of World War II, Russian soldiers pushing into eastern Germany stumble across a secret Nazi lab, one that has unearthed and begun experimenting with the journal of one Dr. Victor Frankenstein. The scientists have used the legendary’s Frankenstein’s work to assemble an army of supersoldiers stitched together from the body parts of their fallen comrades – a desperate Hitler’s last ghastly ploy to escape defeat.
