Anne Heche and Rufus Sewell in negotiations to fight the Devil in ‘The Occult’

The gorgeous Anne Heche is in final negotiations to star in a new horror directed by Christian Christansen (The Roommate). Also in final negotiations to appear are Rufus Sewell and newcomer Alycia Debnam-Carey, and The Grey producer Mickey Lidell has confirmed he will produce.

Lidell will produce along with Pete Shilaimon and Michael Zelman, while Jennifer Hilton and Scott Holroyd will executive produce. Lidell will also finance the film through his Lidell Entertainment banner, and release it through the company’s new distribution wing.

I must say the plot of the film, which you can read below, sounds very interesting indeed, and with Heche and Sewell hopefully appearing, this could be good. We will just have to erase the memory of The Roommate from our minds for this.

Synopsis:

Story follows a small commune dealing with a prophecy that predicts the coming of the Devil’s daughter. As the shared 18th birthday of five girls approaches, a sequence of murders causes panic to spread through the community, making some wonder whether the prophecy is coming true or if someone is silencing those who know too much.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
