“Big things have small beginnings” The first TV spot for ‘Prometheus’ has arrived!





 

What a week it has been for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus! A couple of full length trailers, an interview with Scott and writer Damon Lindelof streamed live by AMC Theatres, then the week before we had a couple of viral videos, and if it couldn’t get any better, today we have ourselves the very first TV spot! If there is anyone on the planet who doesn’t know that Prometheus is coming, they must be in cryonic stasis. With still over 2 months to go, Fox are pulling out all the stops to build interest in what is set to become one of the biggest films of the year. Roll on June 1st!!!

Directed by Ridley Scott and written by Damon Lindelof and Jon Spaihts, Prometheus stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Patrick Wilson, Logan Marshall-Green, and Ben Foster, and will arrive in UK cinemas 1st June 2012.

Synopsis:

In the distant future two superpowers control Earth and fight each other for all the solar system’s natural resources. When one side dispatches a team to a distant planet to terraform it for human colonization, the team members discover an indigenous race of bio-mechanoid killers.

Ridley Scott, director of ‘Alien’ and ‘Blade Runner,’ returns to the genre he helped define. With ‘Prometheus’ he creates a groundbreaking mythology in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
