The rather lovely Jessica Biel has joined the cast of Sacha Gervasi’s ‘Alfred Hitchcock & The Making of Psycho’. The film looks at the turmoil and struggles the legendary director went through to get his classic film made. Biel has committed to play the second female lead, and she will be playing Vera Miles, who herself played Lila Crane in the original film.
Biel will join an already impressive cast which includes Anthony Hopkins at Alfred Hitchcock, Helen Mirren will play his wife Alma and Scarlett Johansson will be the iconic role of Janet Leigh.
James D’Arcy is currently in negotiations to play the role of Anthony Perkins/Norman Bates.
The film has been penned by John McLaughlin, and Ivan Reitman, Joe Medjuck and Tom Pollack will produce through their Montecito Picture Company along with Tom Thayer.
More as is happens.
Today four more names have been announced to be possibly joining the project. Toni Collette, Danny Huston, Michael Stuhlbarg and Michael Wincott are all in negotiations to play characters in the film, although nothing has been said as to which characters they intend to play.
