The new Munster reboot is gathering pace and according to the guys from Deadline the producers have found their Marilyn.

Taking over from Pat Priest from the original is British actress Charity Wakefield who has signed on the dotted line to star opposite another Brit  Eddie Izzard in the new show which is going to be called Mockingbird Lane.

The pilot, written by Bryan Fuller and to be directed by Bryan Singer, is a complete redo of the 1960s sitcom about a family of “monsters” – vampires, werewolves and Frankenstein – with the normal Marilyn being the odd one one out.

Marilyn is the niece of  Lily with the plot stating that she is  saved from being devoured by her own mother as an infant and now lives with the Munsters The character is not going to differ much from the original in which is a student, but its been said that in the new version she will be in battle with Grandpa (Izzard), but is well loved with Aunt Lily and Uncle Herman.

Keep an eye out for news and my reviews of this eagerly awaited show when it hits the small screen!
