LATEST TV NEWS: Roth does TV horror and casting details emerge for “HEMLOCK GROVE!”





You have to say that TV is a cool place to be at the moment and its only going to get better!Hostel creator Eli Roth is the next to turn to the small screem with upcoming horror series Hemlock Grove and he has already made some casting.

The Hollywood Reporter has ran a story that X-Men actress and former star of Nip/Tuck Famke Janssen as been cast in the show alongside Bill Skarsgård and Roth will direct a few episodes and also serve in the role of executive producer.

Based on Brian McGreevy’s gothic novel who will also write the series, the 13-episode season will centre on a teenage girl’s grisly and unsolved murder, with Skarsgård playing one of two young men who set out to find the killer, and Janssen as his beautiful and controlling mother.

The show is due to air on the streaming service of Netflix which is becoming a massive name in the media market

Roth said: “Netflix as a platform is the perfect hybrid of cinema, television and social networking, with the creative freedom to go as dark as the story needs.”

Its been confirmed that Netflix will stream Hemlock Grove from early 2013.
