‘Paranormal Activity 4’ has found its writer, and it’s good news!

While we wait to find out just exactly where the fourth film in the Paranormal Activity franchise intends to go, we have found out some good news today. It has been reported that Zack Estrin has closed a deal to write the new film, which is expected to arrive in cinemas on 19th October this year.

The good news about this is that Estrin is already working closely with Paranormal Activity creator Oren Peli, and also the producers of the franchise, Blumhouse Productions. Estrin helped write some of the episodes for ABC’s fantastic series The River, which was created by Peli and is produced by Jason Blum and his Blumhouse Productions. This means that Estrin already has a good understanding of what he will need to bring to the franchise to keep it successful.

Estrin has also worked as a writer on a number of TV series’ such as Prison Break, Tru Calling and Point Pleasant. He also executive produced a number of episodes of The River, which again proves he is a very good choice.

No word has yet been confirmed as to whether Paranormal Activity 3 directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost will be returning, although it is expected they will.

There are no other details to share at this point, but we will keep you posted.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
