The Raid: Third behind the scenes featurette, a title change and a UK release date all here for you!

Today is a good day for those looking forward to Gareth Evans’ award winning action spectacular, The Raid. Firstly, we have the third behind the scenes production video for you, and here we learn all about the actual raid itself, and how the cast and crew put together a scene of the SWAT team dropping into the building through a hole in the ground. Trust me, it is not as simple as it sounds!

Also, and quite recently too, we have learnt that the film is no longer called simply The Raid, it is now known as The Raid: Redemption. Why the annoying name change you might ask? Well, that is where we get to share even more good news with you. While the name change might seem daft and a bit silly, there is a very good reason for it, and it is a reason which will make fans happy. Turns out The Raid: Redemption is the first part of an intended trilogy. Hell, if we are due to get two more films as amazing as The Raid: Redemption looks, the makers can call it whatever the Hell they want!

The final piece of really good news here is that The Raid: Redemption has finally been granted a UK cinema release date, huzzah!!! Yep, Gareth Evans’ blistering film will arrive in UK cinemas on 18th May, so best you mark that date on your calanders or in your diaries pronto!

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
