Yeeahhh!!! A second trailer for ‘The Cabin in the Woods’ explains a bit more about what the Hell is going on!

Why, oh why, oh why the Hell was this film shelved for so long??? Yes, I understand all that financial crisis bollocks, but seriously, just take a look at the brand new trailer below! Who the Hell came up with the idea to delay this one, eh? Thankfully director Drew Goddard and writer Joss Whedon campaigned to get their inventive horror released, and thanks again to Lionsgate for acquiring the film and seeing sense. I will not go into the story of what happened to the film to begin with, I just want to enjoy the build up to what is set to become one of the most inventive, original and best horrors of 2012.

The makers have promised a “mind-blowing film” that will turn to horror genre on its head, and from what I have seen so far, I believe them! The new, much shorter trailer goes a long way to explain what we can expect to see in the film, and I like what I see. The Cabin in the Woods looks stylish, intelligent and nasty, this is gonna be a good one, mark my words!

Word of warning though, if you are wanting to avoid any kind of spoiler, do not watch the trailer as it pretty much explains the plot!

Cloverfield writer Drew Goddard is on directing duties, and Buffy creator Joss Whedon co-writes with Goddard. If you would like to read all our previous stories, which include the first full length trailer, then click here. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford, Kristen Connolly, Anna Hutchison, Jesse Williams, Fran Kranz, Brian White and Amy Acker.

The Cabin in the Woods arrives in UK cinemas on Friday 13th April.

A group of friends at a cabin retreat scratch the surface of something so massive and horrific that they can only begin to fathom it as time quickly runs out. If you think you know this story, think again. ‘Cabin in the Woods’ is a mind-blowing horror film that turns the genre inside out”

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
