A bunch of grumpy, moody old men (and a woman) that you don’t want to f**k with in these ‘Expendables 2’ character posters

As the onslaught of The Expendables 2 draws ever closer, a rather impressive collection of character posters has been revealed. This seems to be an ongoing tradition these days, with G.I.Joe: Retaliation doing the same thing earlier this week.

The Expendables 2 character poster are presented in ultra cool black and white, and feature the big names all looking lean, mean and a bit grumpy really. Put it this way, if these twelve, fearsome characters were stood in front of you looking for a fight, you would run a fast as you could in the opposite direction, wouldn’t you?

This bigger, meaner sequel is going to be huge, and should hopefully up the stakes after the brilliant first film. Director Simon West and Stallone has assembled a truly astonishing cast of bruisers, and I have no doubts about just how brilliant this film will be. I simply cannot wait!

The sequel, directed by Simon West, has a massive list of names involved: Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Liam Hemsworth, Randy Couture, Jean Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Scott Adkins, Liam Hemsworth and Nan Yu. Expect to see The Expendables 2 in UK cinemas on 17th August.

Synopsis:

“The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Lee Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way….”

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
