First images of Stallone, Arnie, Willis AND Chuck Norris released for ‘The Expendables 2’!!!

The release date for director Simon West’s The Expendables 2 is creeping ever nearer. 17th August is only four months away, so we should start to see a barrage of images, clips and some new trailers start to make their way online very soon. This week, however, two images have been released and we have them for you to gaze in wonder at.

The first image see’s Arnie, Stallone and Willis firing their guns at an unseen enemy: with full on angry faces, gargantuan ego’s and oozing confidence, the old timers still look the part and would scare the hell out of any bad guy brave enough to cross them! The second image is of the one and only Chuck Norris in what can only be described as a classic Chuck Norris pose, which again should strike fear into every living, breathing villain across the world. The old brigade are back, and they mean business, big big business so watch out!

The sequel, directed by Simon West, has a massive list of names involved: Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Liam Hemsworth, Randy Couture, Jean Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Scott Adkins and Nan Yu. Expect to see The Expendables 2 in UK cinemas this summer!

“The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Lee Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way….”

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
