First set pics arrive for director Stuart Beattie’s adaptation of ‘I, Frankenstein’





Filming finally began last Wednesday in Australia for writer and director Stuart Beattie’s adaptation of Kevin Grevioux’s graphic novel, I, Frankenstein. This is the first bit of news which has surfaced for this highly anticipated film for a while now, and while it doesn’t show anything of actors in action, it does show off a little of the set.

See, when filming had finished on Friday, some sneaky Australian’s managed to get a couple of pics of the set where I, Frankenstein was being shot, and we have the pictures for you below. See what you think, but I like what I see!

Stuart Beattie (Tomorrow When the War Began) will direct the inventive take on the Frankenstein story, and Aaron Eckhart has already been cast as Adam in the film. Other names attached include Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto and Socratis Otto. The film is due for release 22nd February 2013, so stay here for more news on the films as it happens.

Synopsis:

An unlikely hero comes to the aid of humankind as a race of supernatural creatures look to take over the Earth.

In the film Eckhart plays Adam, Frankenstein’s creation and he is being hunted by Demons who want to learn the secret of his creation so they can build an army of the undead, recreated in the same way. Nighy will be playing a Demon Prince.
