With the future of Fringe in doubt, the creators have filmed two different endings to the season four finale.
With an announcement due any day from the Executives to end the agony for fans everywhere, John Noble who plays Walter Bishop confirmed how the writers have come up with the problem in how not to end this season.
“We’ve shot two endings” he confirmed while Lance Reddick who plays Broyles went one step further and said “The way season four ends could function as a series finale, but there’s one storyline left open that could end up as a cliffhanger for the beginning of the fifth season, We’ll see what airs depending on what Fox and WBTV decide.”
Joshua Jackson who plays Peter Bishop admitted that a plot thread for Season Five will be glimpsed in the upcoming episode “Letters of Transit“.
“If you watch that, you’ll have an understanding of where the writers want to take the series,. The writers have given themselves a device by which we can tell a fifth season story without having to leave this season’s story open.”
