New ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ poster see’s old Abe tearing up a train with his trusty axe!

Director Timur Bekmambetov’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is going to be all kinds of awesomeness, no question. Each and every piece of news I have covered just gets me more and more excited to see it.

While todays news does not provide any actual footage, it does show off a brand new poster revealed by Empire, and what a poster it is!  In the new image we see Abe himself, played by Benjamin Walker, looking cool, calm and collected and totally focused on being menacing, clearly unaware that the train he is standing on is crashing off the tracks behind him, and he proabably only has seconds to live! Ah, but he doesn’t care, no train is gonna stop him on his hunt for vampires!

Synopsis:

“The new movie follows Lincoln (Walker) from his boyhood on the frontier through his assassination by John Wilkes Booth and — because this is a vampire story — beyond.

Young Lincoln, having learned that his grandfather and mother were killed by vampires, vows to kill every last blood-sucker in a country that is crawling with them. On realizing that vampires are tangled in the slave trade, Lincoln’s resolve grows and takes on a moral dimension. To complicate matters he also learns that the creatures come in two varieties, good and bad.”

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
