Ever since Con Air explored onto the screens way back in the 90’s, director Simon West has been a name all fans of action have kept an eye out for. Since then he may have failed to get a film out that matched that Cage classic but we live in hope for The Expendables 2 and if not then it may come in the shape of Thunder Run which will start filming in the summer.
Based on the book by award winning writer David Zucchino, the film will be shot as a computer-animated 3D movie and already such stars like Gerard Butler, Sam Worthington and Matthew McConaughey have all signed up to provide the voices.
A source close to the movie had this to say….
“The scope of the movie is going to feel huge and the goal is to appeal to the Call Of Duty world, it’s not going to have a video game world feel but to have a stylised look to it”
So in other words then, what we having is a film set in the Call Of Duty world were fans of that popular computer franchise can watch but not play?
Hmmm………
