Its been a while since we had an update about the Blade Runner sequel, maybe Ridley Scott is too busy with another film, sod knows what, I mean the guy has not been in the news for ages……cough……anyway, at last we can ignore the other film being made and bring you news on this long awaited sequel.
Yes after months of debate, its been revealed that the new film will be set a few years after the original which puts to bed the rumours that this could be a prequel. Also its been reported that Hampton Fancher, who wrote the original Blade Runner, is in talks to develop and write a sequel to the 1982 classic!
No details of where the plot will go but with Harrison Ford confirmed NOT to return, there are rumours which are unconfirmed that there could be a lady in the lead role!
Blade Runner 2 will not start filming until sometime in 2013 with Scott planning to film The Counselor, based on Cormac McCarthy’s book next!
