After the stunning success of his portrayal of Hulk in The Avengers movie, Mark Ruffalo has revealed that he as signed a five picture deal to play the green angry man, news that has delighted comic books everywhere.
“The experience was great,” Ruffalo said ” I really had a good time. It was fun, and I love that group of people.” Marvel studios Head Kevin Feige only said last month that a new Hulk movie was being planned. “When it’ll be, who knows,” he said.
Ruffalo’s role has been widely praised with film critics and the comic book fans and now there seems to be an urge to give the man his own film, especially of the last two HULK films that divided fans everywhere.
Ang Lee’s 2003 film Hulk had Eric Bana playing Banner which was met with a muted response because of its more arty feel, while Edward Norton took on the role for 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, which was directed by Frenchman Louis Leterrier, which delighted fans because of its all out action but still missed the mark because the plot was a bit….well empty!
It will be interesting to see how the new HULK film will now pan out!
