Brand new trailer for ‘The Watch’ features loads more footage and plenty of laughs

Director Akiva Schaffer’s (Hot Rod) new sci-fi comedy, The Watch is due for release in UK cinemas on 29th August, and the US release is just a month away (27th July). Fox International have now released a new trailer, which makes the third so far, in order to try and build interest in the film.

The film’s idea of a group of friends creating a neighbourhood watch group, protecting their community and eventually discovering aliens sounds good on paper, but the first two trailers have not exactly sold the film as good as they could have. I am still undecided as to whether this will be any good, however today’s new trailer is a much better effort than the previous two, and I think I might be finally beginning to take a real interest. This new trailer is very very funny, check it out at the bottom of this post.

The Watch is directed by  Akiva Schaffer (Hot Rod) and has been written by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Jared Stern. Starring in the film are Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Richard Ayoade.

Synopsis:

An outrageous comedy in which four everyday suburban guys (played by Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Richard Ayoade) come together to form a neighborhood watch group, but only as an excuse to escape their humdrum lives one night a week.  But when they accidentally discover that their town has become overrun with aliens posing as ordinary suburbanites, they have no choice but to save their neighborhood — and the world — from total extermination.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
