THE GREAT WALL of China Keeps Supernatural Forces At Bay In New Film By Ed Zwick

With a length of 5,500 miles (ooh er!), The Great Wall of China is one of the magnificent wonders of the world that receives thousands of tourists each day. However, in Ed Zwick’s new film THE GREAT WALL, that is to be shot in China and New Zealand, the wall has quite a different history than that which is globally known.

Set in 15th century China, The Great Wall is about British warriors who happen upon the hurried construction of the massive wall. As night falls, the warriors realize that the haste in building the wall isn’t just to keep out the Mongols — there is something inhuman and more dangerous.

The horror is due to start filming soon and will star Benjamin Walker, Henry Cavill and Ziyi Zhang.

I love practical effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Dead Island, Yakuza Zero and Payday 2.
