US trailer for Rian Johnson’s ‘Looper’ arrives with plenty of new footage

After the UK trailer which was released just two days ago, I bet you thought we wouldn’t be seeing a new trailer for Rian Johnson’s Looper for a while. Well as quick as you can say “time travel” a brand new US trailer has also landed, and it features tons more footage, ultra cool effects and delves a little deeper into the story. However, with the release of this trailer came a harsh warning on Twitter from the director himself:   “If you’re already set on seeing ‘Looper,’ I’d avoid any trailers from here on out. They don’t ruin the movie, but they tip a few little things.” So there you have it, excited as you might be, try and make this your last viewing of anything to do with the film to avoid spoilers, and be patient…

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Looper has an impressive cast to drive the high concept story, with names like Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, Jeff Daniels, Piper Perabo and Gareth Dillahunt. Looper arrives in UK cinemas 28th September.

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
