Fede Alvarez’ ‘Evil Dead’ remake is finished!!!

Word received by Bloody Disgusting late last night was that Fede Alvarez has now completed his much discussed Evil Dead reboot. The much darker version of the classic film is due to arrive in UK cinemas on 12th April 2013.

In a recent interview with MTV, producer Sam Raimi confirmed that Bruce Campbell’s Ash will not be in the film: “No, that character’s not in this movie“ he said. Raimi also said the film was “gut-wrenching, scary and intense“

Directed by Fede Alvarez, The Evil Dead has been written by Alvarez, Sam Raimi, Rodo Sayagues and Diablo Cody. Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas, Lou Taylor Pucci and Elizabeth Blackmore all appear, and Bruce Campbell is also onboard as a producer with Sam Raimi.

The Evil Dead is due to arrive in UK cinemas 12th April 2013.

  1. I would like to see a movie that is “MUCH” darker than the original Evil Dead. If that is so then we have one hell of a movie here. Something is telling me thats not the case though. I hope im wrong. I really, really hope im wrong.
