First teaser trailer arrives for Takashi Miike’s ‘A Lesson of the Evil’

Takashi Miike just might be the busiest director in the world! It seems that within a few months of sharing a trailer or news of his latest film, the next one is already on its way.

We will continue that trend today as the first teaser trailer has landed for his latest film, A Lesson of the Evil which is currently in post-production. The film is due for release in Japan in November, and we have the trailer right here for you. Its short, sweet and hints at a very ‘Battle Royale’ kind of set up, and will see Miike return to his more violent ways, even delving into horror by the looks if it. Check out the teaser after the synopsis:

Based on Yusuke Kishi’s 2010 novel of the same name:

LESSON OF THE EVIL centers on a teacher named Seiji Hasumi who’s loved by his students and respected by his peers. However, his outward charm masks his true nature. In reality, Hasumi is a psychopath who is unable to feel empathy for other human beings. Specifically, he has a severe antisocial personality disorder.

Because of his mental condition, Hasumi chooses to deal with problems like bullying and overbearing “monster parents” the easy way—by systematically murdering his students.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
