‘Machete Kills’: Lady Gaga joins cast, and Alexa Vega releases image to prove she is all grown up!

And the casting for Robert Rodriguez’ sequel, Machete Kills, continues to get stranger and stranger. As the cast list for the films grows, each and every new cast member is more bonkers or more sexy than the next, and today’s casting news gives us the best of both worlds.

Robert Rodriguez announced today that Lady Gaga has joined the cast as La Chameleon, and in celebration the director also posted a brand new poster showing off his new star. Here is what Rodriguez tweeted earlier today:

I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills , she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!

However, not only have we got a new character poster to enjoy, but also Alexa Vega has released an image of herself in character. Vega is probably best known as the child star of Spy Kids, and while she has been seen in a number of adult aimed films like Repo! The Genetic Opera and Mother’s Day, Machete Kills will be her biggest film yet. Working alongside Rodriguez again (he directed all of the Spy Kids films) Vega has asked him if she could share an image of herself, proving just how grown up and hot she has become, and she has telling fans: “RR gave the ok for a sneak peek… @machetekills KillJoy” Now steady on lads, both pictures are at the bottom of this post.

Lady Gaga and Alexa Vega will be joining Charlie Sheen, The Avellan Twins,  Sofia Vergara, Edward James Olmos, Mel Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Amber Heard, Demian Bichir, Zoe Saldana, and of course Danny Trejo in Robert Rodriguez’s sequel which will be distributed by 20th Century Fox.

Synopsis:

“The new film finds Machete recruited by the U.S. Government for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy”

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
