Michael Fassbender’s DMC Film will co-produce a movie adaptation of the hugely successful game, Assassin’s Creed, and Fassbender himself is due to take the lead role.
The main character from the game is called Desmond Miles, an assassin who travels back in time to kill a number of different people and collect various items. Fassbender is due to play the role of Miles, and even though no other names have yet been attached to the project, the film is aiming for a 2014 release.
With the popularity of the game being so massive, it is highly likely that this could well turn into a franchise. However, with videogame adaptations not usually working out too well for the big screen, is there a chance that Assassin’s Creed just might buck the trend? With such a big name as Fassbender involved, it is highly likely it will.
More on this as it develops.
