The first two teaser trailers have arrived for Zack Snyder’s ‘Man of Steel’, with Christopher Nolan’s seal of approval!

Zack Snyder’s (Watchmen, Sucker Punch) highly anticipated Superman reboot, Man of Steel, revealed itself at Comic-Con last week with the first ever trailer, and fans are now even more excited.

However, those of us who could not attend could only read descriptions of the first footage from the film. Not anymore! The first two teaser trailers for the film went online today, and while both versions appear to be almost identical, they are not. The Yahoo version features a voiceover by Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Clark Kent’s Dad. The MSN version features a voiceover by Russell Crowe who plays Jor-El.

Zack Snyder is a visionary director who is capable of creating magnificent images on screen, and when it comes to special effects he tends to be flawless. However, if you are watching the trailers and thinking 2hang on, I can see a bit of Christopher Nolan’s Batman world in threre” then you would be right. Nolan is onboard as producer, and his influence can clearly be seen in the trailers which are very serious, very dramatic and quite dark. Man of Steel will indeed be serious stuff, just the way we like it!

Directed by Zack Snyder, produced by Christopher Noaln and written by David S. Goyer and Jonathan Nolan, the film stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Jonathan and Martha Kent, Michael Shannon as General Zod and Russell Crowe as Jor-El. Also amongst the highly impressive cast are Laurence Fishburne, Christopher Meloni, Ayelet Zurer and Antje Traue.

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question ‘Why am I here?’ Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

The IMAX release of Man of Steel will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
